This part-time foundation programme is designed for those who want
to pursue a recognised career in Counselling. The programme aims to
give participants a meaningful insight into the world of Counselling &
Psychotherapy. The course will encompass practical counselling skills
including empathy, active listening, genuineness, the helping relationship
reflection etc. Those who successfully complete the programme may
access the range of HETAC accredited Degree programmes offered by
the National Counselling Institute of Ireland. Fees for the certificate programme are €850 inclusive of exam
fees and €500 will be deducted from the Degree programmes for those opting
to continue. A briefing meeting for this programme will be held in the
NUI Maynooth on Thursday October 16th at 7.00pm.
